• Gently used or new formal dresses (less than 3 years old and in good condition)
• Cocktail or casual dresses
• Women's shoes
• Jewelry
• Evening bags
• Hair accessories
• Cosmetics & cosmetic bags
• Perfumes and lotions
• Hair products (blow dryers, curling irons, flat irons, gels, hair sprays, etc...)
• Boxes
• Commercial clothing racks
• Retail paper shopping bags (i.e. Macy's, Ann Taylor, etc.) 
• Garment bags

Students can receive up to three dresses for prom, graduation, banquets or other events. Donations are accepted year-round.

DEFINE Body & Mind will be hosting two dress drives in February. Please drop off your donations from Feb. 1 to Feb. 14 at 1945 West Gray and from Feb. 14 to Feb. 29 at 1560 Eldridge Pkwy., Suite 152. For more information, please go to www.definebody.com.

We recommend sending items via parcel post from USPS.
No special packaging is required.

Financial contributions are needed to purchase larger-sized dresses, accessories such as shoes and purses and to rent tuxedos.

FGP is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization

The Fairy Godmother Project of Houston will provide receipts for donations of $250 or more. The IRS does not require you to provide a receipt from the non-profit if the donaton is $250 or less. Please refer to your CPA or tax consultant for additional questions regarding your donation. Please send a self-addressed and stamped envelope if you would like a receipt.

H&R Block states that clothing in condition good enough to be re-sold at a thrift store are likely eligible deductions.
